File Formats

A user was trying to figure out what file formats Open Office opens and he went to the FAQ where it says:
"Many different types - the easiest way to see is to use the file dialog ('File' =>> 'Open' ) and look at the file types listed there."

They posted to the list and got a good response listing the different file formats. (I have added a bit to the post.) http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgId=1705759
