A common question is how to set up a split window in Writer, like you can in Calc, so you can edit the document in two place at one. While Writer can't do it inherently, there is a workaround for this.

To set up a split window like you can in Calc or MS office by using Window > Split Window. In OOo Writer, you need to use the Window > New Window command. This crates a second window that you can edit in and it affects both. You will have to tile it manually your self.
